"Healthy Contemporary with a twist of boho."
On the second half of our familymoon, we decided that we
would skip out on the buffet breakfasts our hotel was providing, as it was
quite average. And explore some local breakfast spots in Seminyak- walking
distance from our hotel.
This one however we we’re feeling the heat so decided
to jump in a Blue Bird Taxi. We could have easily have walked here if we weren't already exhausted from the bite of that sun! We were parched.
Matt had found a place online called The Fat Turtle in
Seminyak. Upon entering the small, cosy
and bright café we were one of the lucky people to walk in and get a table for
6. Like they say all big things come in small packages, and this fits in that
package. The food was absolutely
glorious and the staff were just gleaming inside and out.
We shuffled through the menu and couldn’t decide what to
order it all sounded delicious. We
settled for (Beetroot fried rice) - a crispy chicken with beetroot rice salad.
And eggs benedict with an oozy yolk and the girls decided on
red velvet pancakes with maple syrup (which they finished with their Aunty
before we had even gotten to the café).
The food here not only looked delicious it tasted it as
well. We didn’t leave a scrap on any of our plates, that speaks volumes.
I love that the portions aren’t too overwhelming, they are
actually the perfect size. The price range I would say in the very affordable
price range. For a full breakky for 4 and freshly squeezed juices we paid just
over $30AUD.
